Sreemati Lalgudi Seshasayee

This is my wiki page, where you can know a little about me, what I do and what are my interests. Do feel free to contact me for anything that you feel I can help you with.
Intro
I am Sreemati Lalgudi Seshasayee (take a breath ;-)), you can call me Sree. I am an Indian student who is doing my Masters in Bioinformatics from University of Edinburgh. I am one of the members of the team for the iGEM competition and our whole team is really excited about the competition.
Educational Qualification
2005 - 2006 Pursuing Masters from University of Edinburgh (Major Bioinformatics)
Currently working on computaional modelling of Nuclear Factor k Beta of Cancer and Stem cell to differentiate between them and predict a possible drug target. Its a very interesting project which gives me amples opportunties to explore the vast and exciting world of biochemistry, particularly singaling transduction. My work involves static, computational modelling and running simulations to test its dynamic behaviour similarity to the lab experimental data. Wish me luck ;-)
2001 - 2005 B Engg Computer Science from Anna University
Developed HR software called “Recruitment Management System” for DOTNET team of Polaris S/W Lab Ltd using Whidbey and Yukon.
Interest and Hobbies
Games I love playing Basketball and I played for my School team for 6 years, once as the vice captain and finally as the Captain when we won the silver medal at the national tournament. Though I dont get much time to play basketball now, I am still very passinate about the game. I like working out to keep myself physically and mentally fit and now I am playing shuttle reglarly with my University friends. My new grown interest are - learn to swim and also pursue my tennis skills again.
Traveling I love traveling, especially where I can hike, camp, have night campfire, swim (though I need to learn first :-D), have all kind of adventure sports and be with nature.
Music and dance I learnt bharatnatyam ages ago but I can still shake a leg in classical, cultural and modern numbers. I dont have any favourites when it comes to music but now I listen more to Indian classical instruments and fusions, they are so soothing that I have got addicted to them.
Reading I love reading Agatha Christie and Robin Cook.
Cooking Cooking is one art which is inherent in me and fortunately, I can cook well. I think my cultury skills have a bigger role in my survival away from home. When ever I feel homesick, I cook myself soemthing nice and feel better. I love Indian vegetarian spicy food.
