There was a discussion about how we want to organize documentation. In the end there should be a well structured an ‘congurent’ report (or a paper). We think that it is best to stick close to the wiki. The main advantages are that everyone is able to make changes and that the information is kept in one place.

There should be a group that is responsible for the completeness, consistency and ‘verständlichkeit’ of the information on the wiki. The group should also think about a possible structure of a report. Maybe it is a good idea to adapt the wiki structure to a report-like structure. It is our suggestion that the documentation group consists of Christophe, Jonas, Dominic and Robin.

Protocol of the iGEM meeting, 2005-09-15, 17:30, ETL E12

The following persons were present

Urs A. Müller, Herve Vanderschuren, Christophe Dessimoz, Simon Barkow, Zlatko Franjcic, Alexander Roth, Kristian Nolde, Robin Künzler

Aim of the meeting:

Getting ready to order the DNA, organisation of documentation and lab work

Course of action:

  1. Discussion about DNA orders, final decisions
  2. Discussion about lab work
  3. Discussion about documentation and forming of a documentation group

DNA orders

We decided that we order one complete counter system and several zincfinger testing devices (as described in the NOR-Module section). The group agreed that this is a better choice than ordering two complete counter systems. Alex and Herve are making the final choices of zincfingers now and they think that they’re ready to order by tomorrow.

Lab work

The lab work on the input module will start on Monday. Simon and Robin have agreed to be there in the morning at about 9 o’clock.

Documentation

There was a discussion about how we want to organize documentation. In the end there should be a well structured and coherent report (or a paper). We think that it is best to stick close to the wiki. The main advantages are that everyone is able to make changes and additions and that the information is kept in one place. There should be a group that is responsible for the completeness, consistency and comprehensibleness of the information on the wiki. The group should also think about a possible structure of a report. Maybe it is a good idea to adapt the wiki structure to a report-like structure. It is our suggestion that the documentation group consists of Christophe, Jonas, Dominic and Robin.
