Guest Lecturer-Samantha Sutton
Phosphoregulators, dealing with synthetic biology during post translation

Design,Fabrication,Testing --> Components --> Systems --> Applications

Goal: Develop foundational technologies for sythetic biology

Barry Canton: Standard strains to house biological circuits dedicated to polymerase
Jason Kelly: Sceen for bio device function
Reshema Shetty: Repressor work, build more repressors to use in systems
Caitlin Conboy: Be able to characterize RBS,so that it is eqaully functional no matter where it is placed
-->context independent

Types of intracellular circuits: Transcriptional devices

Post-translaional devices: protein-protein interactions, fast response time

Samantha's work:
1. Build a set of PT devices (proof of principle)
2.framework for engineering PT devices

need to get protein from cytoplasm to the nucleus
serine followed by proline for phosphorylation
