Concept part: The Output is mentioned in the text, but I think it would be worthwhile to include some arrows in the diagramm that expilcitly show where the output is taken from. jonas, Oct 26 2005

Re: Concept part: This is a Moore automaton. Which means that the output is solely dependent on the state (and not on the input). In other words: You can assign an output to each state (as it is mentioned in the text: 0 for states S1 to S3 and 1 for state S4). If you want to include the output in the state machine, you can include them as numbers in the circles of the states (i.e you write S1/0 S2/0 S3/0 S4/1). There are no arrows for the output. Arrows are always only for state transitions. Tamara, Oct 27 2005

I agree in behalf of the arrows (it's been some time since I had Technische Informatik :-) ). I just wanted to make sure that the picture is clear in a way that also biologists with a limited knowledge of FSM get the message immediately. But since there have been some emails today dealing with this issue, i'm sure you guys are taking care of this

I propose to have a correct usage of capital letters within our wiki (if possible). Texts are hard to read if everything is written small. Furthermore, it gives the impression of being not competent. --Dimo 10:03, 26 October 2006 (EDT)

writing everything small?

I propose to have a correct usage of capital letters within our wiki (if possible). Texts are hard to read if everything is written small. Furthermore, it gives the impression of being not competent. --Dimo 10:03, 26 October 2006 (EDT)

everything on one page?

should this all stay on the entry page? with all the details? --Dimo 10:06, 12 October 2006 (EDT)

I see little reason to separate it, espacially at this point, unless there is a compelling reason why something cannot sensibly be placed on the front page. Maybe when finishing the documentation I'll worry about dividing it up. Table of Contents on the Wiki

You can eliminate the computer generated TOC by adding
<underscore><underscore>NOTOC<underscord><underscore> (Note: change the <underscore> to the underscore character)
to the page. Then, you can write your own TOC entries with total control. -- Randy
Thanks for the hint. As long as the wiki is volatile I want to have it generated automatically though. --Ajk 04:01, 16 October 2006 (EDT)
