- Dominic: how much do these approaches differ from other work, i.e. Austin?

- Urs: Let's assume that we have got only 2 large areas (one dark and the other illuminated). So in the dark aerea D and B are produced and in the illuminated one A and C. By and by the different substances diffuse. At the beginning you would probably see the edge as a line but by further diffusion wouldn't this line blur or even disappear?
