Back to [[ETH Zurich]] main page. =Intro= The idea is to use bacteria as a buffer for a specific substance. (more to follow) =Principle= When the concentration of the specific substance rises above a threshold, the bacteria generates something that neutralizes it. When it falls below a certain threshold, the bacteria somehow manages to replenish it. Could be pH, but could be something else, e.g. protein, metabolite, etc..
