What's an iGEM ambassador?
iGEM Ambassadors are qualified by being involved in previous iGEM programs. They are a new addition to the iGEM competition for 2006. The Ambassadors are sent by the iGEM program to assist school teams as necessary, promote communication and information exchange, and help support iGEM back end operations like the [http://partsregistry.org Parts Registry] and DNA assemblies.
iGEM ambassador goals
The iGEM ambassador goals are:
- Make the teams more successful
- Make iGEM more successful
- Make the Registry more successful
- Have lots of fun!
What does this practically mean?
It means first and foremost that we are here to help you and your team. If you have questions, comments, gripes, suggestions, or other ideas about iGEM, we want to hear from you. All the ambassadors will be working to put help information on the wiki or make other changes that will (hopefully) benefit all teams. We'll be trying to visit each of the schools and learning more about you and your projects. Note: if you have a problem with your ambassador, you should contact Randy Rettberg.
