Decisions
- During the discussions on monday and tuesday it became obvious that the toggle switch had to be expanded to fulfill our requirements (the input signal for example had to be very short to avoid flickering).
- In terms of numbers of required genes and effectiveness the '4 genes' counter solution is clearly better.
Therfore we decided to bet on the '4 genes' counter. You can refer here for the toggle switch approach.
Modeling
We began to model the circuit in MATLAB. Due to first calculations the system works and counts to 4 as expected. Further examination of the influence of the different parameters will follow.
