What is a wiki?
Wiki's are an easy way to create, edit and maintain webpages.
Why use a wiki for iGEM?
For team projects like iGEM, they are a great way to coordinate between members and document your project. Since all changes are recorded on [http://2006.igem.org/wiki/index.php?title=Getting_started&action=history article histories] and recent changes, you don't ever have to worry about losing your work.
How do I use the iGEM wiki?
The first step, if you haven't done so already, is to [http://igem.org set up a user account] so you can edit pages. Your user account for the iGEM wiki and the Registry of Standard Biological Parts are the same but you will need to login to the two sites separately.
The next step is to learn how to edit a page.
