This page is for discussing and organizing the creation of an ambassador team entry in the iGEM competition.

  • Ahessel 06:46, 14 June 2006 (EDT): I think this would be a great opportunity to test how well iGEM tools work for virtual teams, gain experience with the new tools, and showcase assembly lines.
  • jonas 08:17, 14 June 2006 (EDT): Great Idea! I wonder how the europeans could be involved without being phisically at MIT though.
  • jonas 08:26, 14 June 2006 (EDT) On a second thought though, I wonder if that wouldn´t divert to much energy and time from our main tasks...
  • Tamara 13:35, 14 June 2006 (UTC): Hey, I really like that idea! I am certainly willing to help with modeling, although I see Jonas' point (about the time problem).
  • --Jamesbrown 23:28, 14 June 2006 (EDT) When I suggested this last week I had in mind the fact that Meagan was making really impressive progress with the robot and this would mean we could feasably sketch out a design using existing parts and have it made with relatively little work. I figured it would work as a neat aside to have an entry and never figured we'd invest serious time in modelling or practical assembly.

I'm keen to at least design a system in principle - or alternatively do a really daft fictious one using comical biobricks and present it as light relief (we did this today at Brown to gain familiarity to the registry and had a lot of fun improvising on the spot -> cafA:a cafine-dependant promoter - I ask you...
