At first we used BL21s cells to express the products from J40001 and I15004. However, BL21s overexpress LacI. While oscillations are still expected under these circumstances, the period and nature of the oscillations are altered.

Synchronization with Model System 1. The cells in red begin in synch and remain so throughout the imaging period. The cell circled yellow does not synchronize. The cell boxed in white begins out of synch and synchronizes over time.
