- | Concept part: The Output is mentioned in the text, but I think it would be worthwhile to include some arrows in the diagramm that expilcitly show where the output is taken from. [[User:Jonas|jonas]], Oct 26 2005

- | Re: Concept part: This is a Moore automaton. Which means that the output is solely dependent on the state (and not on the input). In other words: You can assign an output to each state (as it is mentioned in the text: 0 for states S1 to S3 and 1 for state S4). If you want to include the output in the state machine, you can include them as numbers in the circles of the states (i.e you write S1/0 S2/0 S3/0 S4/1). There are no arrows for the output. Arrows are always only for state transitions. [[User:Tamara|Tamara]], Oct 27 2005

- | I agree in behalf of the arrows (it's been some time since I had Technische Informatik :-) ). I just wanted to make sure that the picture is clear in a way that also biologists with a limited knowledge of FSM get the message immediately. But since there have been some emails today dealing with this issue, i'm sure you guys are taking care of this
