hi everyone,
I'm Maiko Furubayashi, a 2nd year undergraduate student at Chiba University, Japan. I'm so excited to take part in iGEM because is's my very first time to get involved to a real lab reserch!

I love to:

  • watch Movies -- Die Hard, Down by Law, Bright Future(JPN) are my favorite:)
  • reading -- I often read japanese books and manga.
  • listen to music -- i love Greenday and Tom Waits.
  • stroll arownd Tokyo -- to visit some historical places

My iGEM project

the project now my team is working on is a "light trap bacteria(E.coli)". it means that where the light is on the E.coli stops, and where the light is off it moves freely. to do this project, we are now studying about chemotaxis and trying to make a way out.
